A partial solar eclipse will be seen from Jaipur on October 25, with a visibility of 41%. On the occasion, the science and technology department of Rajasthan government will organize an event as part of which, the folks of Jaipur will be able to witness the upcoming eclipse.
The event will be held via the Astro night sky tourism program of the state government which will be organised at the Surya Mandir in Jaipur from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Observers will be able to watch the eclipse through special viewing glasses
The event will be held under the supervision of experts who will guide observers in witnessing the eclipse through special viewing glasses. Furthermore, for continuous observation, a telescope will be used to project the eclipse on a screen.
Reportedly, The upcoming partial solar eclipse, with varying visibility of 40-50%, will be observed in several parts of India. This will be a unique phenomenon during which the moon will obscure only a certain part of the sun, forming a crescent-like shape, visible from the Earth.
This phenomenon is dissimilar from the total solar eclipse, where the moon obscures the sun completely, forming a ring of light, visible from the Earth. The partial eclipse is a rare occurrence, and will only be seen again on March 20, 2034.

Rajasthan is the first state in India to declare the introduction of night sky Astro tourism which will expand in all 33 districts of the state.
In fact, four tourist spots in Jaipur will become the venues for the program and will be equipped with high powered telescopes and other equipment to facilitate people, including children to gaze at the stars and planets during clear skies.
Notably, the four venues which have been identified for the program include Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort, University of Maharaja and Jawahar Kala Kendra which will serve as astronomical centres by the end of this year.
