Along with all the redevelopment and beautification-related preparations in the final stage, Lucknow is now all set for hosting the much-anticipated events over the next couple of days. The city will initially hold the UP Global Investors Summit event between February 10-12. This will be followed by G20 summit events including the 1st Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting scheduled to be held between February 13-15.
Owing to this, the Lucknow police commissionerate has now rolled out a list of traffic restrictions which are to be followed in different parts of the city for a duration of 8 days.
Which routes will remain affected?
Reportedly, numerous nationwide dignitaries, prominent business leaders, and international delegates will attend the GIS meeting, resulting in widespread VVIP movement on various routes of the city.
Traffic restrictions will remain in place on and around 5 routes of the city during 7 AM-3 PM between February 9-16. Under this, the movement of small vehicles will remain completely restricted between Hazratganj to Ahimamau route, 1090 to Golf City route via Shaheed Path and Indira Gandhi Pratishthaan.
With this, heavy vehicular movement will remain completely restricted on most of the routes of the city for the duration. Readers are advised to stay home, or keep diversions in mind when heading out.
