In great news for those who take public transport regularly in the city, e-buses in Kanpur will be available every 10 minutes on new stoppages throughout the city. These buses will be available on all routes across the city from June 2023, and commuters who currently have to wait for up to 30 minutes for these buses won’t have to wait any longer than 10 minutes.
Kanpur’s e-bus fleet to get a boost
Currently, Kanpur city transport has 100 buses in its fleet and the number will soon be increased to 250 buses, which is expected to bring relief to all public transport users. With new stoppages built across the city and the addition of these new buses, commute in Kanpur is all set to get a lot more convenient for the city folks.
Plans are also underway to launch an app where commuters will be able to track buses in real time. Furthermore, the city transport authorities have said that they are planning to operate buses on brand new routes to connect the city to rural areas that come under Kanpur mandal.
