The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has rolled out a new nomination-based Golden Visa scheme, offering lifetime residency to eligible Indians for a one-time fee of AED 100,000 (₹23.3 lakh). Unlike earlier requirements of investing over AED 2 million (₹4.7 crore) in property, this scheme simplifies access. However, there’s a process.
India & Bangladesh included in Pilot Phase
India and Bangladesh are the first countries selected for the pilot rollout. The visa targets professionals who can contribute. Nominees must fall under recognised categories such as:

Teachers and principals with over 15 years of experience

University faculty and nurses

YouTubers, podcasters, and digital creators

E-sports professionals aged 25+

Luxury yacht owners and maritime executives
Applicant must further undergo:

A thorough social media audit
Successful applicants can sponsor their family members, including spouses, children, and in some cases, parents. The visa allows for business, employment, and professional engagement within the UAE.
Who’s handling the applications?
According to those involved in the programme, over 5,000 Indians are expected to apply within the first three months. The nomination-based Golden Visa process in India and Bangladesh is managed by the Rayad Group, in coordination with VFS Global and One Vasco centres.
Currently in its pilot phase, the programme’s success will determine its expansion to other nationalities in the coming months.
