The recovery rate has improved in Lucknow this week as 155 Covid-19 patients recovered in the city. Presently, 390 Lucknowites are being treated for Covid-19.
During such times when news is nothing but disturbing, it is also essential to keep our eyes focused on the hopeful part of the situation. Although Uttar Pradesh has around 21,500 confirmed cases of corona at the moment, there are only 6685 active cases.
The total number of healed patients in Lucknow stands at 635. The Uttar Pradesh government is now testing close to 20,000 people in the state and after the approval from ICMR the government has started pool testing in Lucknow as well. This improved testing rate is helpful in containment of Covid-19 spread as infected people are discovered and isolated at an early stage.
On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad in a press briefing said, “In the last 24 hours, 607 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in the state. There are 6,684 active cases, 14,215 patients have been discharged so far and 649 patients have succumbed to Covid-19.”
He further said, “We have increased the testing of patients in Uttar Pradesh. In the last 24 hours, 20,028 samples were tested.” 6,63,096 samples are tested in Uttar Pradesh till date, he added.
