With about 258 new cases, Goa recorded its highest spike in the number of Corona cases on Monday. With 168 new cases on Tuesday, the total number of active cases in the state has gone up to 1656, with about 5,287, out of which 1,656 confirmed cases.
The highest single day spike in cases, so far
Goa reported a single day spike in coronavirus cases with 258 fresh cases in the state – highest since its outbreak. The state has also reported a fall in the number of recoveries. So far, 3,595 people have been declared recovered in Goa since the outbreak of coronavirus on March 25. As many as 133 persons recovered on Monday while 185 recoveries were reported in Tuesday. So far there have been 36 fatalities in the state due to infection of the deadly virus.
The administration however has pointed out that there are enough medical facilities in the state to take care of its people but if the people only don’t get themselves tested, there is only so much that the state can do. The CM further repeatedly ensured that there is nothing to fear.
