In an effort to propel the growth of tribal youths in Rajasthan, the state administration has issued directives to develop hostels and career centers in Jaipur and Udaipur districts. The Tribal Area Development department will be delegating the responsibilities of constructing these two facilities at an overall cost of 13 crores each. Here, the tribal youth students who are preparing for competitive examinations will get accommodation provisions, food and training facilities. These centers will also be used for skill training purposes.
The hostel will have a capacity of 150 students
The Additional Chief Secretary of Tribal Area Development (TAD) department, Rajeshwar Singh, mentioned that the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board has been granted the authority of the construction of these two centers. The hostel and career center is being constructed on 1606 square meters of land, assigned in Mauja Sawai Gator, near the iconic Jawahar Circle in Sanganer Tehsil. As of yet, 2.91 crores have been invested in the construction of the facilities and it is being assumed that the final completion will be reported in January 2021.
The list of amenities will include a parking, reception, office, training hall, lab, lecture hall, multi-purpose hall, dining hall and a kitchen amidst others and the hostel will have a capacity of 150 students. As yet, developmental activities from the ground floor to the eighth floor has been approved.
8 residential Eklavya schools by 2021
Just last week, the central government also approved the setting up of 8 residential Eklavya schools by 2021 and 15 acres of land has been granted for this purpose by the TAD. The Centre has appointed CPWD as the executive nodal agency for the building of these institutions. Out of 8, 4 of these residential schools will be in Jaipur. These schools will serve as a ground of educational, social, cultural and economic improvements in the tribal areas.
