In an effort to push the state’s agenda of providing employment to the citizens under the banner of Mission Rozgar, the UP government has taken up a resolution to set up employment help desks in every state department and organisation. As per an official order issued by the Chief Secretary of UP, these help desks would hand out detailed information about the department programmes related to employment, entrepreneurship, skill development and apprenticeship. Compulsory for government offices to maintain a register, bearing detailed informations
In line with the directives, it is compulsory for the government offices to maintain a register, bearing the detailed information of the candidates who would be informed about the employment programmes, whenever conducted. This information would be as per the qualifications of the candidate. The assigned department, hosting online apprenticeship and skill development programmes will be required to collate and create a data bank of the qualified applicants.
Simultaneously, the department would tie-up with the help desk, so that the candidates can get themselves registered with the division. In his order, the Chief Secretary further stated that the Directorate of Training and Employment would be tasked with the responsibility of maintaining the database through a web portal and mobile application. A nodal officer will also be appointed by the corporation and board of every department, who would have to list out the information related to employment, every month on the 15th and at the end of the month as well.
Programmes under Mission Rozgar to be monitored by the Wage and Labour Commission
This programme under the umbrella of Mission Rozgar would be monitored by the Wage and Labour Commission and the district level committees will be captained by district magistrates. The concerned administration will compulsorily have to upload the details of employment, entrepreneurship, skill development and apprenticeship, created by the end of the current fiscal year. Along with it, employment generation plans for the next financial year, have to be tabled additionally. The state government, further, has plans to organise awareness programmes about Mission Rozgarand related workshops at the district level.
