Winning over the uncertainties of the COVID pandemic, IIM Indore has managed to achieve a covetable feat. Amidst the unstable situation of the job market, the institute has been successful in securing 100% summer internship placements for its students in the current academic year. The beneficiaries of the placement process include students from the two-year post-graduate program and the five-year integrated program.
Institute records a 7% hike in the average stipend
IIM Indore has not only repeated its accomplishment by recording 100% placements but also managed to achieve a 7% hike in the average stipend. As per reports, the average stipend stood at ₹ 1.8 lakh, registering a maximum of ₹ 3.2 lakh for two months. While the top-notch B-school was visited by most of its usual recruiters, it also witnessed maiden visit by some top employers in the market. A total of 575 students from the institute got selected for various portfolios offered by around 190 recruiters.
Reportedly, the director of IIM Indore stated that the rigorous curriculum offered by the institute is focused on equipping the students with skills that can make them socially sensitized leaders and managers. Additionally, a release by the elite B-school mentioned that the recruiters have kept their trust strengthened in the institute because of its unconventional experiential learning, ample industry integration and a relevant curriculum.
Students placed across a diverse range of sectors
The placement season at IIM Indore saw first-time recruiters like Cloudtail, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Lubrizol, Marsh, Rohatyn Group in addition to the traditional ones like Amazon, American Express, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Bain & Co, Bajaj Auto, Barclays, Bridgestone, Boston Consulting Group amongst others. Students received placements across a variety of domains like sales & marketing, consulting, finance, IT & Commerce etc.
IIM Indore has also managed to add new feathers to its cap in recent times. In 2019, it became the second business school to achieve a triple crown after being certified by IFMD Quality Improvement System. With its latest achievement, the institute has surely increased its repute amid management aspirants.
