However, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) issued a statement on Friday, permitting about 10% spectators into the stadium to witness the limited-overs first match on Sunday.

The spokesperson of the UPCA notified in the statement released on Friday that keeping the COVID situation and permission of the local authorities in mind, Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow will welcome around 10% of fans for the India vs South Africa Series scheduled here. Lucknowites now have a chance to catch the full series live, which includes a total of 8 matches, including 5 ODIs and 3 T-20 matches!

The Ekana Cricket Stadium is fairly new in the landscape of Indian cricket but it has filled in the city with another cheer post the COVID lockdown, by opening its doors for cricket fans amid the pandemic.
