As per reports, Indore has reported zero fatalities due to the virus in the last 20 days. As highlighted by the daily health bulletin date, this new statistic is a testimony to the weakening force of the pandemic here. The last coronavirus casualty was reported on June 29 and since then, the toll has witnessed a fall.
Coronavirus force has weakened after second wave peak
It may be noted that new COVID cases in Indore have been restricted to single-digit tallies after July 3. As such, after the first week of the month, not more than 5 cases are reported in a day. The bulletin records reveal that the case rise did not even clock in a single infection on most days during the last week.
Officials have also highlighted that the reduced impact is a resultant rise of the second wave of coronavirus. Most people were infected and have developed antibodies against the virus. Vaccination has also helped to aggregate immunity against infection. As such, lesser people are now susceptible to disease contraction. The virus ferocity also weakens after every successive peak, officials added, as per the pandemic trends charted since the outbreak in 2020.
