Ahmedabad has once again been honoured with the prestigious title of the cleanest megacity in the sub-category of cities with a population of 40 lakh and above, marking the 4th consecutive time it has achieved this award.
Urban 20 (U20) India, a city diplomacy initiative comprising cities from G20 countries, took to Twitter to share the remarkable distinction, stating “Ahmedabad shines as a beacon of cleanliness, with its pristine gardens and well-maintained public spaces setting a remarkable standard for a clean city. Winner of the Cleanest Megacity award for 4 consecutive years under Swachh Bharat Mission.”
