Adding to the allure of the shoreline, the ‘Beautification of Beachfront Promenade at Miramar’ was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Goa, recently. The Miramar Beachfront has been renovated by the Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSDL) at a budget of around ₹12 crores. Under the ambit of Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), this project also offers various facilities to locals and tourists alike.
Beautification project to be carried out at several other beaches in Goa too

This Smart City Project, spanning over an area of 12,000 square metres has not only enhanced the appearance of Miramar Beach but is also expected to attract tourists by offering public amenities. These facilities include a children’s play area, walking tracks, public gymnasium, iconic pergola, fish installations and sit-outs, among others. Moreover, in line with the idea of preserving the environment, no trees were cut for this project, claimed the CM of Goa during the inaugural.
This initiative was completed in accordance with the rules of the Coastal Regulation Zone. Notably, the first part of the four-phase development of Miramar was opened for the public back in 2020. Moving ahead with its mission of beach beautification, the state government now aims to develop other beaches of Goa along the lines of Miramar beach as well.
