The concessions open more opportunities for people to reach medical centres without delay.

In a bid to provide an economic respite to the COVID-stricken citizens in Madhya Pradesh, the state's Transport Department has regulated and fixed the cost of private ambulances for the benefit of the general public. As per reports, the rates of all advanced and basic ambulances have been subsidised, effective immediately. This order ushers in a major aid especially to the people settled in the rural areas, who can now be ferried to proper health care centres at affordable rates.

Amid the rampant rise of the coronavirus pandemic and the second swell of infection, medical expenses run a long list. But thanks to the Madhya Pradesh Transport Department, hefty ambulance bills are no longer adding to the burden. The official Twitter handle of CMO Madhya Pradesh, announced the subsidised rates of ambulance services across the state.

As per the urgency of this ongoing threat, the transportation rate of advance-life support ambulances (ALS ambulances) has been fixed at ₹500 for the first 10 km in urban areas and ₹25 per km, thereafter and ₹800 for the first 20 km in rural areas and ₹25 per km, after the stipulated stretch. Similarly, the services of basic life support ambulances (BLS ambulances) will be provided at ₹250 for the first 10 km in urban areas and ₹20 per km, thereafter. Rates for rural areas have been fixed at ₹500 for the first 20 km and ₹20 for every km after that.

This order will definitely enable more people to reach the hospitals at an easy cost, that can be later used to provide other medical health services. The state is fixated at a crucial stage with respect to the pandemic explosion and the concessions open more opportunities for people to reach medical centres, without delay. This may have an impact on the recovery rate, based on timely treatment.
