After a span of 6 months, religious places have reopened in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district and the visiting devotees have been strictly advised to follow all the issued guidelines to curb the spread of this contagious coronavirus. An order issued by the District Collector of Indore, states that the visitors and the priests need to wear masks properly, covering the nose and the mouth. Along with it, following the social distancing norms is an absolute compulsion. Keeping sanitizers and soaps has also been made mandatory at all religious places.
The management bodies of religious places to keep an eye
The district administration has instructed the management bodies of the religious places to ensure that the rules are being followed to a T. However, entry to the sanctum sanctorum is restricted at all the major religious spots and the visit can be done from the outside area.
23,075 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indore
As of today, Indore has 23,075 confirmed COVID-19 patients and the city has reported 551 deaths. This has made Indore the worst-hit district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, out of all the other affected areas.18,214 patients have also recovered, which has pushed the overall tally of recoveries in the state to 1,00,012. In all, MP has documented 1,24,166 cases and 2,242 deaths. 21,912 cases are still active.
