In the recent budget, a substantial ₹500 crore allocation was proposed to expand the UP Roadways’ bus fleet. Preparations are underway to introduce 1,350 new buses in the fleet. In the first phase, Ram Manohar Lohia and Rawatpur workshops in Kanpur have recieved orders for 70 and 30 buses, respectively, with both workshops already equipped with the necessary chassis. Additionally, private companies are receiving chassis to support the swift and smooth expansion of the state’s bus fleet, responding to the growing demand.
