In a major effort to provide lightning-fast network connectivity to Lucknowites, Bharti Airtel has now launched its 5G and 5G plus services in the capital. The announcement pertaining to the launch of cutting-edge networking services was made today i.e. on December 14 by the telecom operator.
The Airtel 5G and 5G plus services will be fully rolled out in Lucknow in a phased manner. This means that the services will only be operational in selected areas of the city including Gomti Nagar (few areas), Hazratganj, Aliganj, Aishbagh, Rajajipuram, Aminabad, Jankipuram, Alambagh, Vikas Nagar and a few other selected locations for now.
Readers should note that 5G will only work on supported devices.
Steps to enable 5G services on your smartphones
Airtel customers in Lucknow with 5G-enabled devices can easily enable the Airtel 5G Plus network without the need to switch or upgrade pre-existing Airtel 4G SIM cards. Furthermore, the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to the customers at no extra cost/at the same cost as 4G plans, until the rollout is more widespread.
With this, the high-speed services in the city are only available on selected 5G smartphones including OnePlus, Xiaomi and Realme phones and on selected variants of Samsung devices. Follow these steps to enable Airtel’s 5G plus services on your device:
