Ayushmann Khurrana has wrapped up shooting for his next film ‘Article 15’ in the city. The film has being shot extensively in Lucknow and the shooting began on 1st of March 2019.
Ayushmann Khurrana took to social media to thank his crew and cast and shared a photograph of a 3D mini model inspired from his look of cop in the film with a caption. He also wrote, “Wrapped up a film which will become the most relevant and important film of Indian cinema. Thank you Anubhav Sinha sir for giving me this gem and also writing the most real cop role ever. Thanks to the entire cast and crew, esp Ronjini Chakraborty and Ashish Verma for this wonderful 3D mini model of mine. Love. It’s a wrap!”, was shared by Ayushmann on Twitter and Instagram on Tuesday morning.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, ‘Article 15’ is a hard-hitting investigative drama and will showcase Ayushmann playing the role of a cop. The team had begun shooting for the film in March in different parts of the city like Malihabad, Old Lucknow, Charbagh and Barabanki.
During the shooting days, Ayushmann had posted pictures on social media where he was seen enjoying being in the city of Nawabs gorging on the famous ‘Kulcha Nihari’ early in the morning with the team.

Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana playing the protagonist, the other caste comprises of Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat and Zeeshan Ayub.
‘Article 15’ is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution which is about the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. The film is being produced under the banner of Beneras Media Works.
Anubhav Sinha’s recent film Mulk had really impressed the audience as well as the critics. This is the first time Ayushmann will be playing the role of the cop and we are really excited to see the magic both of them will create together on the screens.
