Daily COVID cases in Lucknow surged up to 98 cases on Thursday, marking a dip from the 158 reported a day earlier. With the number of daily recoveries mounting up to 169, Lucknow’s total recovery now stands at 2,96,292. As per the reports, no COVID-related death was recorded in the last 24 hours in the city.
According to the data issued by the state health department, Lucknow recorded the highest number of cases in the state, followed by Gautam Budh Nagar (79) and Ghaziabad (33), taking the state’s single-day count to 439 cases. With these new infections, states, the total active tally now stands at 3375. Additionally, zero deaths were reported in the state.
As of now, efforts are being made by the authorities in contact tracing. As per the reports, out of the previous day’s 158 cases, a total of 6 patients had travel history, with the help of contact tracing, 37 new cases were identified.
