In a conversation with the owner Kriti, we tried to decipher slivers of her aspirations and plans regarding her brand’s future!
“The idea of designing outfits was a childhood dream. I decided to start my own brand right after completing my design course. It took me a year to research- I did some freelancing to get an idea of what the customers are actually looking for and then started off from my dad’s office. In September 2013, with just one sewing machine I commenced my designer dreams and then officially launched my brand in February 2014.”
When asked further about her journey, she replied- “The journey has been a roller coaster ride with its own unique ups and downs like every business but it has been enlightening and beautiful as a whole. I have customers from all over the world right now and it feels like I am on a path of explorations!

Kriti also talked about her brand’s USP- “We specialize in custom made outfits and for that, we have to connect with our customer to get to know their sense of style and taste better. My brand is into curating customized bridal outfits from scratch as well! We are not only designing outfits- we are creating memories as well. It gives us immense pleasure to create outfits for our customers, which makes them feel like they’re owning the spotlight like no other.
Kriti J is also into mixing Indian embroideries with modern silhouettes and vice versa which tags their outfits and designs as never-seen-before in the market of cliched designs, patterns and quality! Born and brought up in Lucknow, being a designer was a childhood dream for Kriti, which she inherited from her mother. “Mom has a great taste in Indian clothing and I have grown seeing her stitching and even doing embroideries on her own outfits. I did my fashion designing course from Symbiosis Institute of Design and FAD International, Pune. Even while studying, I was keen on doing something of my own because I always wanted to be my own boss! Honestly, I have a great team too- from pattern cutters to craftsmen, all of them have their own level of creativity and we all sit together to curate something new each day.”
