Amping up the healthcare amenities in the city, Lucknow Development Authority has sanctioned the proposal to establish Health ATMs across 6 different parks, under its administration. Being implemented under the Smart City Project, this initiative will help in ensuring amplified avenues for medical check-ups at a nominal cost. As per the plans, Lohia Park, Janeshwar Mishra Park, Gomti River Front, Begum Hazrat Mahal Park, Eco Garden Park and Ambedkar Park will get these units.
A total of 100 Health ATMs to be set up in the city

In addition to the 6 aforementioned parks, LDA office premises will also get a Health ATM. Besides, the authorities have affirmed that a total of 100 such units will be set up across different locations in the city. With regards to this, all executive engineers have been asked to ensure their support and cooperation for the inception of these new facilities.
It has been observed that a large count of citizens flock to the city gardens for morning walks every day. Once the planned Health ATMs are set up, these joggers will be provided with an easy and affordable option for health check-ups. Additionally, it is expected that these units will benefit a significant number of health-conscious people coming to the park.
SGPGIMS to roll out a price tally for these diagnostic centres

Amid a variety of facilities available at these Health ATMs, individuals will be able to get themselves tested for blood pressure, blood sugar levels, cholesterol, creatinine, haemoglobin. It has been informed that all these tests will be available at economical rates, which will encourage the people to get tested.
For this scheme, officials from SGPGIMS will formulate a price list, which will then be used by the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. With the finalisation of rates, the authorities will initiate interventions for setting up these facilities. Amit Kumar, the Additional Municipal Commissioner stated that health ATMs will greatly benefit the fitness-conscious people, who visit the parks regularly.
