If you’ve been planning a metro ride on Holi, you must make sure to be updated with the correct timings, to avoid any inconvenience during the festival. According to UPMRC, on 10th March, 2020 Lucknow Metro Services will be available from 2:30 pm to 10 pm, which means you need to look for other means of transport if you’d been planning to commute in the morning.
Lucknow Metro has come to be the lifeline of this city, providing transportation to people who come from far and wide. The metro sees and an average footfall of over 65,000 people on the daily who chose to travel via the more comfortable and reliable medium over traditional rickshaws and autos. Yet, it seems that the ardent metro fans will have to turn towards these very means of transportation on the day of Holi.

With Holi just around the corner, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) sent out a tweet through its official Twitter handle notifying the commuters that the metro services will be suspended during the morning of 10th March.
“Important announcement for Holi. On 10th March, 2020 Lucknow Metro Services will (be) available from 2:30 pm to 10 pm. #UPMetro #OurMetro”, the tweet reads. The metro which generally start from 6 AM and remain running till 10 PM, will start services from 2:30 PM on the day of Holi.
This might affect those who had plans of either travelling to the airport, from the airport or are living along the Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport – Munshipulia route. However, services shall resume normally on 11th of March.

Lucknow Metro will be operational only in late afternoon, so if you’ve been planning a journey via the metro route on 10th, make sure to have a plan B.
