In a bid to keep the economy afloat and to further make the current situation convenient for the residents, the Uttar Pradesh Government is granting us some major relaxations attached with stringent rules. From May 20, certain businesses can operate thrice a week in Lucknow from 7AM till 7PM while keeping the regulations in mind.
The shop owners are advised to sanitise their premises on May 20 before opening for public. All restaurants, bakeries and sweet shops can start home delivery of products from May 21.
The officials in Lucknow have made a plan to open shops and markets in Lucknow on an ‘alternate day’ basis. This means that shops on one side of the road will open on one day while shops on the other side of the road will open the next day. All markets and shops except for those involved in essential services will remain shut on one specific day every week. The press release is attached below-
All these shops will have to adhere to all government rules and regulations. Commercial establishments are required to sanitise their places, make provisions to follow social distancing, wear masks and not to entertain customers without masks. Every shop owner is also advised to use Aarogya Setu app.
The officials have also allowed restaurants to start home delivery, sweet shops and bakeries to open but for take away and delivery only. No eatery is allowed to open ‘dine-in’ services. They are also required to sanitise their premises regularly.
Malls, Cinemas Halls, Education institutes to remain shut and movement of people will also be restricted between 7PM to 7AM.

The markets will soon open in a couple of days but the social distancing rules and guidelines still need to be kept in mind all the time. So, make sure you step outside only in times of dire need.
