Hunger crisis hasn’t just engulfed India but has become a major concern around the world. Food scarcity and hunger is an issue we have been trying to deal with for a long time now and will be dealing for years to come.
The Robin Hood Army is a group of individuals who are known for their will to change this and making conscious efforts to bring about this change.
In an effort to create awareness about hunger and find help to do so, the Lucknow division of Robin Hood Army is organising a flash mob at Wave Mall this Republic Day & you’ve got to be there!
A mob for a cause
We know flash mobs to be exuberant, flamboyant and often good enough to make the spectators break into a trot or two. They are a great way of conveying a message to the people. This flash mob too is expected to be everything cool, fun, educational and inspirational all at the same time.
The flash mob has been arranged on the 70th Republic Day (January 26th), a public holiday, hence ensuring that they can make a big impact on the people. If you’re someone who feels strongly about hunger and want to do your bit in helping to curb it, you should definitely be a part of the flash mob.
More about the Robin Hood Army
The Robin Hood Army works specifically to eradicate hunger and educate those who don’t have the privilege. These group of volunteers collect excess food from parties, weddings, social gatherings and then distribute it among the poor and the needy.
Not just that, they also organise cookout and teaching camps for those that need help. Most of the ‘Robins’ are volunteers hence they do not ask for funds, you can donate things- food, clothes, books and most of all your time. Which means, everything you give will be given to the community and nothing is kept for the organisation itself.
The Robin Hood Army is a non-profit organisations with an aim to change the world one step at a time. We’re not saying they are real-life heroes, but it is the simplest explanation of what they do.
