In an attempt to increase tourism activity in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has designed unique and attractive holiday packages for the tourists arriving here. Prepared under the counsel of the state’s forest and tourist departments, these special tours and travel packages will include forest destinations besides other popular destinations and monuments. As per reports, these packages are being arranged for the places acting like tourist magnets, including Lucknow and Noida. Similar offers will be drafted for Delhi also.
State drafted tourism packages in Lucknow to roll out soon
Uttar Pradesh has ranked number one in the country in terms of the inflow of domestic tourists in 2019 and this year, the state government has buckled up to outdo itself as a host to retain its No.1 position in India. To set this ambition to motion, the state administration has chalked out a strategy to give more momentum to its tourism campaign. As per plans, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to offer exciting and unique holiday packages to lure tourists.
A government spokesperson stated that through these special packages, the state government is aiming to promote places which have the potential to become a tourist destination but have been neglected so far. This will offer a new treat and a newer experience to the people who have already visited the state once.
To holistically enrich people’s travel in Uttar Pradesh, the new packages will also provide the tourists with car facilities for an easy commute. The state spokesperson has further informed that guides too will accompany the tourist groups and will explain them the importance and history of these tourist areas.
Pursuit to promote the homestay scheme in forest areas
These new tourist packages will introduce travellers to the rustic side of the state and to promote the agenda further, the government is trying to encourage the homestay scheme. Besides adding on to the tourist’s itinerary, this scheme will benefit tribal communities in forest areas too. With the proper implementation of the homestay scheme, the Chief Minister plans to bring people living in rural and forest areas to the mainstream occupations of the urban regions.
Initially, the scheme will be started in the Terai region as well as in the Bundelkhand and Vindhya region. Tourists will also make their bookings for the place and they will be provided with transport to their destinations.
