In view of the recurring incidents of trains ramming into cattle, Indian Railways has now decided to work on the complete fencing of railway tracks between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The task is expected to be completed within a period of one year.
The decision has been taken as an aftermath of multiple cattle crash incidents within 45 days of the Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar semi-high-speed Vande Bharat train launch.
The railway board recently approved a new prefabricated design of track fences. This new variant, which happens to be sturdier than its conventional counterpart and has hassle free installation and repair feasibility, will be used for the fencing of Mumbai-Ahmedabad rail tracks.
