The recent IMC (Indore Municipal Corporation) meeting on June 9, discussed a series of developmental projects and civic issues around Indore. As an outcome, the IMC has announced that 5 different foot bridges will be erected across the city. These will come up at DAVV on RNT Road, near MY Hospital, near old GDC College, at Karbala Maidan and at Teen Imli Square.
Apart from the above, the meeting also approved construction of a Green Waste Processing Plant under a private-public-partnership (PPP) model. As per officials, the plant will process as much as 100 tonnes of green waste per day, generated from tree trimming, and subsequently convert it into biomass.
Moreover, tenders will be invited to install solar panels in 85 colonies of Indore while an SOP will be chalked out to hire tent services for civic body programs, among other initiatives.
