Educational institutions in Lucknow have embarked on a grand Yoga Week. Herein, prestigious colleges and universities are participating with students practising Yoga at various locations of the city of Nawabs. It will be held at various significant water bodies, parks, historical buildings, all Amrit Sarovars and amidst lush greenery in the open.
The ongoing celebrations will go on till the International Yoga Day on June 21. Additionally, daily group sessions will be seen from 6 AM-8AM in public parks. A great opportunity for elevating general well-being, anyone and everyone can join in the glorious events.

The University of Lucknow is organising a free yoga camp at as many as 100 locations in the city. While the objective of the event is to dispense heath benefits of Yoga, this is an opportunity to realise the transformative strength of the spiritual practise and meditative therapy that finds its roots in the Indian soil.
The week-long yoga camp, running from June 14 to 21, will be free of cost and accessible for general public. Till now, LU has successfully hosted various special sessions for pregnant women, on geriatric yoga for the elderly, international students, on divine musical yoga and more.

Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishvidyalaya
A week-long affair will also take place at Raj Bhavan and Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishvidyalaya to mark the occasion. Spearheaded by Bhatkhande, a series of sessions and activities will be hosted on and before June 21. This engulfs numerous sessions, workshops, rangoli and essay writing competitions.
Officials, employees and anybody that is present on the premises can partake in the extravaganza too, by joining hour-long Yoga sessions at Raj Bhavan at 6 AM daily, leading up to the International Yoga Day.
