Started by a husband-wife chef duo, this restaurant is all about experimenting with recipes while incorporating individualistic techniques and experiences. A tale of mingling culinary techniques
Founded by young chefs Mathew Varghese from Kerala and Ebaani Tewari from Mumbai, this restaurant is an ode to the Deccan Coast and the varying experiences that influenced their journey. The flavours, spices and ingredients form a love triangle between Bombay, Chennai and Kanyakumari cultures. And to motivate you to visit Kari Apla, this eatery has now rolled out a Christmas Special Menu.

Inspired by the chefs’ childhood favourites and festive classics, Kari Apla has thoroughly curated a Christmas Special Menu, which will be served only on December 24-25! This Deccan-inspired menu includes hearty seasonal eats to make your Christmas even merrier.
Some of our favourites from Kari Apla’s menu include Wild Mushroom Curry, Fugias, Prawn Moilee and Vattayappam and Choriz Pulao and Ambemohar.
Knock Knock
With dishes on the menu, that sing stories of culture and images of Deccan coast on the walls, Kari Apla stays true to the spirt of innovation and community. Even the name of the restaurant finds roots in collaboration. It is a fun play between ‘Karivepila’ that means ‘curry leaves’ in Malayalam and ‘Kari’ and ‘Apla’, that translated to ‘our curry’ in Marathi.
