Construction work on the 17.5 kms Indore Priority Corridor has been underway for a while and for those who are tracking, it has crossed the halfway milestone. The metro corridor, which will run from Gandhi Nagar, has touched the 51% completion mark, as confirmed by Indore Metro Rail.

The ongoing work is being closely monitored to avoid any delays and the construction is slated to be concluded in nearly 45 weeks, Metro Rail Corporation officials have stated.
As per reports, the Bhopal Metro and Indore Metro are expected to be inaugurated in September 2023. “The deadline of both the projects is the same… Now only 320 days are left, which is around 45 weeks. Bhopal’s Metro will be 7 km long and Indore’s Metro will be of 17.5 km,” officials said.
In the beginning of November, the Madhya Pradesh city officials informed that about 76% of the piling work, 86% pile foundation and 47% work on pillars had been executed.
