In a bid to provide better lives and opportunities for the underprivileged, authorities have decided to implement something called ‘school on wheels’. These ‘schools’ will help the depraved school dropouts complete their education and make them eligible for menial jobs in and around the city. Certainly, this is one commendable move by the Indore authorities.

Basically, the schools will be two buses, which will roam around the city and will be specially designed to cater to these needs and educate people. As of now, the process for identifying places with a higher number of uneducated people is underway and once the places have been noted, the buses will make their way into the areas and pick up potential students.
The curriculum of this ‘school’ will entail studies up to primary classes in both english as well as Hindi, so that people from an economically weaker background also get a chance to live life in a new way.

As for the buses themselves, they will be customized and made into makeshift classrooms. Each bus will have the capacity to accommodate 35 students and there will be a blackboard at the back. Additionally there will be a state of the art audio system which will make for more interactive teaching sessions. In addition to that, attendees of the ‘school on wheels’ will be further encouraged to go for higher studies and hone their skills.
The authorities have also roped in a few private players who have taken up the responsibility of providing buses and fitting them with the necessary tools and equipment.
This initiative by the Indore authorities is a great one and paves the way for such developments in the future. The fact that they wish to educate as many drop outs as possible is a great step in the right direction for the future of the city and it’s residents as well.
