The Prayagraj-Jaipur Express has become the first train in the country to run with the new AC-3 tier economy coaches. Notably, a normal rake has 72 berths while the latest coaches can accommodate a total of 83 passengers. Besides, the ticket fare has been cut down by 8% for them. With this initiative, Indian Railways has tried to enhance the ease of commute, through a string of new passenger-friendly features for travellers.

The new coaches have been added to the Prayagraj-Jaipur Express 02403/04, firstly. As per the plans, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Kochuveli Express, Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Express, Lucknow-Mumbai Pushpak Express, Lucknow-New Delhi AC Special are next in line to get these coaches.
With a range of modern facilities, the new AC-3 tier coaches have an improved and modular design. This includes foldable dinner tables, solo AC vents for every berth, reading lights and mobile charging points for each passenger, enhanced headspace for both the lower and upper bunk beds and an improvised fire safety system. Besides, the luminescent aisle markers, illuminated berth indicators with integral night lights assure you a completely revamped experience.

Adding to the resources in the train, the coaches offer the facility of disabled-friendly toilets, which can accommodate wheelchair-bound individuals. Besides, the designs of the Indian and western-styled lavatories have also been improved to ensure modified experiences. All in all, the railway authorities have attempted to transform the usual model of a coach and the new rake is all set to provide easier and improved journeys.
