Featuring memorial canopies
Within the premises of Chhatri Bagh are groups of memorial canopies dedicated to the royal Holkars of Indore. However, the centre of attraction of this place is the cenotaph dedicated to Malhar Rao Holkar I, the founder of the Holkar Dynasty. All the cenotaphs located here are dome-shaped in structure and have pyramidal spires perched on top of the dome.
Indore’s Chhatri Bagh holds a special appeal to the visitors who stop by during the night as the chhatris are artificially illuminated and the fountains situated in the artificial lake come to life. Apart from spectacular and colourful hues strewn across the garden, this place also offers boating facilities for visitors.
