Ahead of the upcoming two-match Test series between India and New Zealand, the Indian test squad reached Kanpur yesterday, to comply with the mandatory COVID guidelines. With the opening match scheduled to take place at the iconic Green Park Stadium, the 11-member team first assembled in Mumbai before entering Kanpur. Notably, the players will be covered in a bio-bubble as they undergo a three-day quarantine in their rooms at Hotel Landmark.

As per the pandemic-mandated protocols, the players will not be allowed to move around the city, even after completing the quarantine period. To ensure a safe experience, the cricket association has restricted the movements of players to the hotel and the stadium only. Meanwhile, in line with the existing guidelines, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has allowed Green Park Stadium to host at its 75% capacity.
As per the rules, no one will be allowed to enter the premises of the stadium without a mask and a negative RT-PCR test report, within 48 hours of the beginning of the match. Apart from the temperature checks, a COVID help desk will also be set up at the entrance for sanitisation to eliminate the risk of transmission of coronavirus again.

As per reports, the tickets for the first match of the upcoming Test series that will take place in Kanpur are currently available online, while the offline facility is yet to begin. The ticket range starts from ₹600 for a girls-only area and goes as high as ₹6000 for VIP Pavilion and Pavilion Balconies on BookMyShow.
As per our sources, the tickets will also be available at various branches of ICICI Banks as well. In Kanpur, the tickets will be available at JS Tower Mall Road, Swaroop Nagar Branch, Govind Nagar Branch, Azad Nagar Branch, Lalbangla Branch. In Lucknow, offline tickets will be available at Ekana Stadium as well as Hazratganj and Gomti Nagar branches of ICICI Bank. Reportedly, tickets will be available at the Civil Lines branch of ICICI bank at Fatehpur, Unnao, Jhansi and Prayagraj from November 22 as well.
