The city’s preeminent Lucknow University (LU) has completed 102 glorious years and is celebrating its anniversary in absolute vigour. Making it a matter of grandeur, the campus is bedecked and glowing in hueful lighting, while displaying flags of the university and the affiliated colleges of the city!
To spread the elation of its Foundation Day, LU has also opened the doors of its rich museums for students. The museums, showcasing historical artefacts, manuscripts, and paintings, house a wide collection of rare tokens from the past. A large display of fossils and gems also add to the plethora of unique exhibits here.

“LU i.e. Lucknow University is completing 102 years of its establishment… Preparations are on for a grand event on this occasion,” the university took to Twitter to share.
The celebrations that are supposed to commence in the evening today will incorporate felicitation of distinguished alumni who will also narrate their success stories, other cultural activities, and more. Eminent personalities will also grace the occasion to join in the celebrations.
“We have opened the gates of all our museums for students and the public on Friday. Anyone can visit the campus on the foundation day and have a look at the rich collection,” LU Spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava announced.

Founded on November 25, 1920, the University of Lucknow stands tall as one of the oldest government institutions of higher education in the country! Now that Lucknow University is turning more than a century old, we’re nothing but proud!
