A top favourite amid joggers and other recreational junkies in the city, Lucknow’s Ram Manohar Lohia Park expects a revamp soon. Located in Gomti Nagar, the park attracts a large crowd of visitors and the authorities are now planning to upgrade its gravitational quotient. Under the upcoming plans, an open-air gym, a kids’ zone, selfie points and a long list of other facilities will be added to the park, fueling an extensive facelift for it.
Internet power plugs & a lit-up fountain to enhance your experience
The new Vice-Chairman of Lucknow Development Authority, Akshay Tripathi, inspected the park recently. During his visit, the official announced the slated plan, which includes the establishment of an open-air gym, a focused kids’ area and 4 to 5 selfie points. In addition to this, internet power plugs will also be installed near the cafeteria. Besides, the park’s fountain will also be equipped with an array of colourful lights.
The VC has further ordered the park authorities to implement an electrical ticketing system at the entry point. Additionally, the officials have been asked to install cameras at certain important spots for the safety and security of women and general visitors.
LED screens to be installed in the park
Improving the layout of the park, synthetic jogging tracks will be established across its expanse. Further, it is planned that detailed maps will be displayed at every gate and LED screens will also be installed at some places. In addition to this, the clock tower will get focus lights and nameplates of plants in the park’s herbal garden, will also be instituted.
