Electronic products and appliances that are no longer of use are collectively known as e-waste. Some examples of such waste includes mobile phones, laptops, large appliances, and household medical equipment, as well.
All of us have been faced with the question of what to do with discarded monitors, smartphones, speakers, keyboards, and other such items. We often end up throwing them in the waste bin with other types of waste.
But that’s exactly what we should not do if we want to reduce e-waste at home and our surroundings in general, according to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC). Instead, one should drop all the e-waste at an e-waste collection event. Information regarding when these events take place can easily be enquired by contacting the local council.
