The curtain may have come down on Bastian Bandra, but actress and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty has reassured patrons that the brand is far from gone. In a heartfelt note shared on Instagram, Shetty called Bandra Bastian “the root to our tree called Bastian Hospitality” and announced its transformation into two exciting new ventures. She emphasised that while one chapter closes, the spirit of Bastian will continue to thrive in new forms.

“Like a tree blooms new fruits, our favourite Bandra restaurant is giving way to a new one called AMMAKAI”, Shetty stated. “This South Indian Mangalorean cuisine takes me back to my roots”. She further added that alongside Ammakai, the Bastian name is moving into new territory as well. “Your favourite Bastian is going to Juhu, with the name of Bastian Beach Club”, Shetty revealed.
Ending as part of an evolution!

Bandra Bastian, which had grown into one of Mumbai’s most talked-about restaurants, will now become Ammakai, adding a strong regional voice to the city’s culinary landscape. Parallely, the brand’s sister outpost, Bastian At The Top in Dadar West, will remain open on the 48th floor of Kohinoor Square. The popular Thursday night event, Arcane Affair, will also shift here, highlighting that the venue is fully operational and thriving. This outlet continues to draw diners with panoramic city views, a seafood-forward menu, and signature craft cocktails.
