Air pollution sensors to be set up at 19 locations in Indore

In order to assess the levels of air pollution in different parts of the city, the Indore Municipal Corporation is going to install air pollution sensors at 19 traffic junctions. The IMC has teamed up with the traffic police and the pollution control board under the smart city initiative for this project. The sensors will enable real-time air monitoring, which will help in measuring the effectiveness of the measures being taken to curb air pollution.

Asia's largest Bio-CNG plant to be inaugurated soon in Indore

Asia's largest biomethanation plant has successfully been set up in Indore and is now ready for operation. The plant has been built at a cost of ₹150 crores and can generate 18 thousand litres of Bio-CNG gas per day. As a by-product of the process, 100 tonnes of manure will also be produced. Located on the Devguradia Trenching Ground at the hill of Devguradia, the plant will be inaugurated soon.

Vision Swacch Survekshan 2022: Indore civic body to mentor Rau Nagar Parishad in waste management

After setting a goal for all by bagging the tag of 'Cleanliest City in India' for the fifth consecutive year, Indore Municipal Corporation is now working towards its vision of Swacch Survekshan 2022! Reportedly, in line with this vision, the civic body of Indore will now help in improving the sanitation services in Rau Nagar Parishad by implementing its own waste management model there. According to officials, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between IMC and Rau Nagar Parishad for this mentorship program.

Sanitation workers honoured for their efforts that helped Indore retain the 'Cleanest City' tag

Celebrating yet another win by Indore in this year's Swachh Survekshan Awards, Indore Municipal Corpporation organised an event on Tuesday to honour and appreciate the efforts of the sanitation workers of the city. Notably, this historic win makes Indore a record winner of being the Cleanliest City in India for five consecutive years. Moreover, in this year's Swachh Amrit Mahotsav Indore managed to secure two additional accolades, that include SBM Water+ certified city and 'Five-Star garbage-free city'.

Indore Municipal Corporation to transform slums in the city into greener localities

After the successful implementation of beautification program, Indore Municipal Corporation has now geared up efforts for a new initiative, aimed at fueling green revamps for slums across the city. As per reports, the civic body has earmarked 29 slums which will be transformed into greener localities under this project. Reportedly, plantation drives will be undertaken over open areas of and the locals will be encouraged to participate in this program.
