Indore Municipal Corporation to transform slums in the city into greener localities

After the successful implementation of beautification program, Indore Municipal Corporation has now geared up efforts for a new initiative, aimed at fueling green revamps for slums across the city. As per reports, the civic body has earmarked 29 slums which will be transformed into greener localities under this project. 'A plant in every house' campaign aims to sow 2 lakh saplings in Indore by Independence Day

In a bid to better the air quality of Indore and advance its 'cleanest Indian city' identity, the state of Madhya Pradesh has set the ball rolling for a green initiative. Indore civic body to levy heavy fines on people dumping construction waste in the open

In a move to promote cleanliness and strengthen the waste disposal system in the city, Indore Municipal Corporation has initiated a new scheme to levy heavy on-spot fines on individuals dumping waste in open spaces. Reportedly, fines of at least ₹5,000 shall be collected from people, who are spotted throwing construction/demolition waste at open spaces or other non-assigned places in the city.

Boosting the vaccination program in Indore, drives shall be conducted across all zonal offices and drive-in centres of the Municipal Corporation today. As per reports, 19 official sites and 6 drive-in sites will witness the administration of immunity booster jabs throughout the day.
