Taking a massive leap to a global platform, JLF Soneva Fushi, the newest international venture of the prestigious Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) will mark its maiden presence in the Maldives. All set for a remarkable debut, it will be a 10-day event, stretched over two weekends from May 13 to 22, 2022. This program will take place at a luxury resort situated within the campus of Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Dealing with a variety of themes like travel, fiction, food, art, wellness, climate change and environment, the upcoming event will aggregate a list of interesting things. This festival will be aligned with the JLF’s international programming vision, making a stirring presentation of South Asia’s special literary heritage. It will be marked with the presence of internationally famed authors and thinkers, who will participate in vitalizing panels, workshops, music, poetry readings and film screenings.
“The JLF Soneva Fushi will be an inspirational journey where we will explore new horizons, celebrating the elements and sharing the power of words and ideas, of poetry and music,” Namita Gokhale, author and Festival Co-director, said. It will resonate with the themes of slow life, accumulating an array of morning yoga sessions, exciting workshops, sumptuous cuisines from across the world, soulful sunsets amongst other things.

Through its international programs, the festival attempts to take the South Asian multilingual literary heritage across the world. It combines the shades of the host nation with the diversity of the South Asian schemes and collects together a vibrant group of book lovers, thought leaders and influencers.
