According to Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) CEO, Rohit Pandit, the state’s representation in IPL has been quite good with 4 players and three umpires in the league. Indore’s Nikhil Patwardhan will soon be umpire number three from MP to be a part of IPL 2022. Former first-class cricketer and umpire Patwardhan will be returning to the field as an umpire after ten long years. Additionally, Akshay Totre from Indore will also debut as an umpire in IPL 2022.
Three umpires from MP to feature in IPL 2022

Apart from being a commendable player, Patwardhan has umpired hundreds of matches including Ranji Trophy matches in 2015 and 2016. Now, in the IPL 2022 league, Patwardhan will be umpiring six matches on the field and six other matches as a fourth umpire.
Two other umpires Nitin Menon and Akshay Totre from MP will also be part of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. Nitin Menon will umpire 9 matches, three on-field and six as the third umpire, whereas, Akshay Totre will perform duties in 8 matches as the fourth umpire.
