The Pink City has been furnishing the highest number of fresh cases in the Rajasthan, with a case positivity ratio that stands at 6.6% Jaipur has also been yielding maximum recoveries in the state with 33,902 discharges.
Section 144 in all districts
In a bid to curb the rise in fresh coronavirus infections in the state, the Rajasthan Home Department has issued a letter to all state district magistrates and police commissioners of Jaipur and Jodhpur advising them to impose Section-144 across 33 districts from November 21. This ruling prohibits the gathering of 4 or more people in a specified area, promoting the norms of social distancing.
The Home Secretary has directed for the imposition of Section 144 given the depreciating health index of the state, which poses a great risk to the health and safety of people. Earlier in March, the State had imposed a similar order to break the chain of coronavirus spread in the state. This enforcement, the Home Secretary added, is a continuation of the same order. There will be uniformity in enforcement if all districts execute it at the same time, she further added.
