Lucknow’s King George Medical University is all set to open a ‘Super-speciality orthopaedic centre’, with dedicated for spine centre, sport medicine department, paediatrics orthopaedics department and an arthroplasty unit. The centre will also comprise in-house radiological imaging facilities, including CT scan. This facility will come a big help to the patients requiring medical attention, who till now had to rush to other cities, for quality treatment.
One-stop solution for spinal treatment-
The foundation stone for the centre was laid on Thursday. The centre is a much awaited one as it’s going to be a one-stop solution for patients requiring different orthopaedic treatment with quality diagnostic tools. The ultra modern spine centre will aim at providing highly specialised care for all disorders, related to spine, with main emphasis on spinal injuries, spinal deformities, spine tuberculosis, back pain and geriatric pain.
Lucknow houses some of the famous hospitals and offers great healthcare services, that attract people from all over the state to the city. Now this new Orthopaedic centre at KGMU, which also houses country’s first paediatric orthopaedic department, will definitely take Lucknow’s medical services up a notch.
