In an attempt to assist women in restarting their career, the government of Rajasthan has launched a new scheme for all those who were forced to quit their jobs due to unfavourable circumstances. As per the announcement made recently, the administration aims to provide employment to about 15,000 women in the next three years under the ambit of ‘Back to Work’ campaign. Moreover, with the help of private sector, work from home opportunity will also be available for the women who are interested but can not go to the workplace thereby enhancing the mission of women empowerment in the state.
Priority to widows, abandoned, divorced & victims of violence
Giving a boost to the financial independence of women across the state, the Rajasthan Government has come up with a plan to provide employment opportunities to women who had to leave their jobs for some reason. According to the officials, widows, abandoned or divorced women and the victims of violence will be prioritised over others. Notably, the Directorate of Women Empowerment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) organisations will develop the facility of Single Window System to dispense job opportunities for all those women who are interested in working again. CSR firms will link women with the available jobs in the private sectors on the basis of categorised database of the applicants on the portal.
Scheme to conduct skill-training sessions as well
Apart from helping women gain financial freedom, this initiative by the state administration aims to provide skill training through Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited (RKCL) as well. Reportedly, for the implementation of this idea in the pilot project, applicants will be able to register on the portal of partner agencies or CSR bodies. Additionally, training facility for re-skilling or up-skilling will also be provided to the women in the target category based on the registration on the online portal, as per the need. A monitoring committee will be formed to supervise and ensure effective implementation of this scheme.
