Due to the MNREGA conference being held in Lucknow, the Traffic Police Department has halted vehicular commute on a number of roads in the city, today and tomorrow. Further, the officials have released a plan of diverted routes for the facility of travellers. As per reports, the event is being organised at the Defence Expo Ground on Raebareli Road and the increased VIP movements have prompted this intervention.
Traffic plan for 4th October 2021
The following routes will be closed for public travel-
- Traffic will not be allowed towards the venue, between Sector 8 Vrindavan underpass Chauraha & Sector 12 and Sector 15
- Apart from the attendees of the event, no commuter will be allowed between Sector 12 Nahar Pul Crossing & Sector 15
- Stretch from Sector 11 Nahar Pul Tiraha to Sector 15 will be closed for traffic
- Only VIP vehicles will be allowed on the road from Sector 15 Vrindavan Chauraha to the function venue
- Heavy vehicles will not be allowed from Kamta Shaheedpath Tiraha to Ahimamau
Citizens can take the following diverted routes-
- Vehicles travelling from Sector 8 Vrindavan Underpass Chauraha to Vrindavan Sector 9 Nahar Pul will take the route through Chiraiyyabagh Chauraha
- Vehicles travelling from Sector 12 Nahar Pul Chauraha to Sector 16 Nahar will take the route through Gyan Sarovar Vidyalaya Chauraha
- Vehicles travelling from Sector 11 Nagar Pul Tiraha will take the route through Chiraiyyabagh Chauraha or Sector 12 Nahar Pul Chauraha
- Heavy vehicles from Kamta Shaheed Path Tiraha will take the route through Sushma Hospital, Polytechnic Chaurha or Matiyari Indira Nagar Pul, Barabanki Haidargarh
Traffic plan for 5th October 2021
As per the information given by DCP Raees Akhtar, separate rules will be applicable for heavy and light vehicles on Tuesday. Further, he stated that the diversion plan will be operational from 8 AM to the time when the events conclude. Here’s the traffic plan that will remain functional on 5th October 2021 for lighter vehicles-
Closed Routes-
- Vehicles coming from Amausi VIP turn will not be allowed between Amausi Airport(Barrier) & Amausi VIP gate
- Traffic will not be allowed from Lalbatti Chauraha to Bandariyabagh Chauraha
- Traffic will not be allowed from DSO Chauraha to Raj Bhavan
- Vehicles coming from Vijayipur Underpass will not be allowed to travel towards IGP
- Vehicles coming from Amausi VIP turn will take a right turn at the crossing and travel towards International/Domestic terminals
- Vehicles from Lalbatti Chauraha will take the route passing through Prerna Kendra
- Vehicles from DSO Cahuraha will take the route passing through Park Road or Sisendi Tiraha
- Vehicles from Vijayipur Underpass will pass through Kamta Chauraha and Ahimamau
