The ‘Digi Yatra App’ seeks to streamline the passengers’ entry process, eliminating the need for time-consuming paperwork and ensuring a hassle-free experience for both travelers and airport authorities. Having already been successfully implemented in major cities such as Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Varanasi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Vijaywada, this app promotes digitalization in the public transport sector.
Following suit, the Ahmedabad airport is now gearing up to adopt the ‘Digi Yatra App.’
But how does the app work?
Passengers can easily download the ‘Digi Yatra App’ on their mobile phones and complete a pre-registration process by providing their name, phone number, identity card details, PNR number, and ticket information. Once the registration is completed, passengers will receive a unique barcode linked to their profile.
At the airport, e-gates will be installed, allowing travelers to utilize their ‘Digi Yatra App’ barcode for a seamless, paperless, and contactless entry experience. Upon scanning the barcode, the e-gate will automatically open, granting access to the passengers and allowing them into the security hold area. This innovative digital solution promises to streamline the entry process, saving precious time and energy for both flyers and airport administration.
