One of the joys of dining at Izumi in Bandra, is coming to grips with an entirely new vocabulary of Japanese ingredients and flavours – a new lexicon of deliciousness. And recently the restaurant came up with a delicately curated, new menu.
And yep, it’s good. In fact, are palates were stroked when we first tried the dishes from their new menu. With some of the great minds from the culinary world, Izumi in Bandra is are new go-to spot, what about you?
They’ve stolen our hearts!
Their encyclopaedic new menu continues to hit the high notes across the standard playbook and beyond. Negi Chutoro lavished crispy Inari and Avocado, Dashi Jelly, Smoked Crispy Pork, Chawanmushi and Squid Tempura are some of our recommendations from the restaurants new plethora of dishes.
Otherwise you can always opt for their evergreen Spicy Miso Soup (₹280) with Wakame Prawns OR flavoursome bowl of Curry Ramen (₹700) with bits of spinach, menma, corn, nori and noodles. Their classic shiitake and beansprouts Gyoza are also a must-try.
But what really made its way through our hearts was the place’s highly trained chefs and touch of tactile luxury in brown-white decor with breath of fresh air in every corner. Overall, the place is perfect for people to catch up with friends and even for a dinner date with fam!
