Adding a new feather to its cap of glory, IIM Indore has secured the 6th spot in the national rankings of management institutions, released by the Central Government on Thursday. As per reports, the premier B-school was placed at the 7th spot last year and it has managed to improve its rank in the NIRF rankings of 2021 now. On the other hand, IIT Indore has dropped down in the list from 10th spot in 2020 to 13th place in the latest rankings.

Under the National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF), the lists are prepared based on teaching and learning, research and professional practice, outreach and inclusivity, perception and graduation outcome amongst other parameters. Reportedly, educational institutions have to apply every year in order to be a part of this survey. As a part of the process, the colleges have to submit a list of academic and administrative reports and documents, which helps the body to formulate the rankings.
As per reports, Madhya Pradesh’s largest autonomous institution Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science has also improved its rank. It has managed to secure a place amid the top 200 technical institutions in the country, by bagging the 181st spot in the latest list.

Reportedly, an official from SGSITS affirmed that the NIRF rankings have led to healthy competition amongst different education centres. Now, they are trying to enhance resources and facilities for better academic outcomes and garner a higher spot on the prestigious list. This will definitely benefit the students across different dimensions of college life.
