With technical crafts and novel developments, the Indian Institute of Technology Indore has become a hub of inventive progress. As per the latest reports, a Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) called DRiving Innovation through Simulation Hub for Technologies in Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (DRISHTI CPS) has been established at the institute. Reportedly, this centre shall work in fields of skill enhancement, technology development, and product commercialization.
Designing, planning, and visualization of CPS amid the proposed plans
Launched with an objective to create support infrastructure for the inception and commercialization of technologies, the centre will help in designing, planning and visualisation of CPS. As per reports, Col Sunil Dutta (Retd) will be chairing the group working on the project as a new Chief Executive Officer(CEO).
Reportedly, the director of the institute mentioned that the aims of DRISHTI CPS will be turned into reality with the development of a self-sustaining system. Through this novel addition, R&D projects, patenting, licensing, and commercialization, incubation of start-up companies and spin-offs will be aided in a streamlined fashion. Besides, the commencement of joint projects with the industry will also be supported.
All units of IIT Indore to work as a team for the project
As per reports, the comprehensive information related to this project will be shortly available on the company’s online interface (drishticps.iiti.ac.in). Reportedly, the project director has asked all departments and units of IIT Indore to work in unity for the materialisation of the proposed plans.
To achieve the objectives of NM-ICPS, all entities of IIT Indore will have to work as a team along with the Industry, R&D organizations, and the sister Technology Innovation Hubs. Given the huge visions, the expectations can only be realised when efforts of the same magnitude are executed.
