In a move to improve the traffic conditions at one of the most frequented spots in the city, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) will establish a two-lane underpass linking Sabzi Mandi and Tonk Road. As per reports, the upcoming facility will stretch over a length of 400 metres, allowing rapid vehicular movements in the West-South direction. Reportedly, JDA sanctioned the project to beautify Laxmi Mandir Junction on Tonk Road and the traffic situation will also be enhanced as a part of it.

Reportedly, a subway will also be constructed in addition to the proposed underpass. With this facility, pedestrians will be assured of safe and secure journeys. Apart from this, the area expects a facelift with a string of beautification interventions. As a part of this, sculptures of freedom fighters will also be installed.
Acting as a major junction for a large count of public transport vehicles, the three-way intersection at Laxmi Mandir had to be revamped for a long time. Now, the JDA has given necessary approvals to the project in a recent meeting of the Project Works Committee and the plans will be rolled out soon.

Reportedly, the state administration had declared that seven road junctions in Jaipur will be transformed into traffic-free spots. Under Phase-1 of the program, Jaipur Development Authority will undertake the reformation project at the Laxmi Mandir.
As per reports, JDA had also approved a six-lane underpass at the B2 bypass junction, previously. Planned to be set up vertical to Tonk Road, this underpass will ensure easier traffic movements in the east-west direction. Given a long list of current plans, the region will be overhauled soon.
